TIME UNIT TEST GRADE 6-8 ELL STUDENT RESOURCE
Hi teachers! I made a time unit test for my Grade 6–8 ELL students to help them practice everything we learned about time. I kept it simple and clear so they could understand it easily. First, students looked at analog clocks and wrote down the matching digital time. Then, they were given a digital time and had to draw the hands on a blank clock. This helped them practice both ways of telling time. Next, I added questions about elapsed time. For example, they had to figure out how much time passed between two events. I also included time conversions—like turning minutes into hours, hours into days, and days into weeks (and the other way around too). At the end of the test, there was a calendar. Students answered questions about dates, like what day something happens or how many days are between two dates. This test was a great way for students to show what they learned.
