 Hi teachers! I made a time unit test for my Grade 6–8 ELL students to help them practice everything we learned about time. I kept it simple and clear so they could understand it easily. First, students looked at analog clocks and wrote down the matching digital time. Then, they were given a digital time and had to draw the hands on a blank clock. This helped them practice both ways of telling time. Next, I added questions about elapsed time. For example, they had to figure out how much time passed between two events. I also included time conversions—like turning minutes into hours, hours into days, and days into weeks (and the other way around too). At the end of the test, there was a calendar. Students answered questions about dates, like what day something happens or how many days are between two dates. This test was a great way for students to show what they learned.  Hi teachers,  I made a simple and fun PowerPoint lesson to help Grade 6–8 ELL students learn about 2D shapes and their attributes. I used clear pictures and easy words to show shapes like triangles, squares, rectangles, and other polygons. I also explained what makes each shape special—like how many sides or angles it has. After the lesson, there is a fun activity. Students will be shown a shape on the screen, and students will hold up a card that matches the shape and its name. This is a great way for them to practice what they learned and stay active. My students enjoyed it, and it helped them remember the shapes better. It was simple, fun, and a great way to support ELL learners in the classroom!   Hi teachers!   This is a fun and interactive lesson which teaches students about basic grammar. This includes learning about nouns, verbs, and adjectives! After learning, there are examples throughout the slideshow where students can practice identifying examples of such. Towards the end, students will be placed in groups of 3 to conduct a grammar scavenger hunt throughout the classroom. As a group, they are to find examples of nouns, verbs, and adjectives before using them within a sentence of their own. Then, they can share their funny sentences to the class!
